Timotheos Overview Video
Our fundraising team in Alberta recently held a Shepherd’s Pie/Baking Table fundraiser. We designed a 13 minute video for the supporters to watch that evening. The first half of the video is overview of our programs in Malawi, the second half provides an update on the recent disaster relief.
Phase 2: Providing food for displaced families at camps
When we arrived at the shelter camp in Nsanje (Friday, Feb 11) we were eagerly greeted by the 1470 families that are living outside around a school building. When it rains they are able to enter the classrooms but otherwise their “homes” are under some shrubs (picture 1).
Tropical Storm Ana Update
Cyclone Ana hit southern Malawi yesterday and today. Some areas have been hit hard, in other areas the damage appears to be not too bad. In order to get a realistic picture of the situation in these areas, the water will first have to subside. We can be thankful that the rain has largely stopped at this point. We are now waiting for the water to subside. In the meantime, we are preparing for the coming days.
Tomorrow Timotheos will decide what help is needed in which areas. Will you join us in praying for the people of Malawi? 🙏
