Day of Christmas Celebration and Hamper Distribution

It has been a few busy weeks of preparing for Christmas hamper distribution at all the child care centres. The warehouse has been full of supplies and they have been divided up according to each centre’s needs.

The child care centre in Chigumukire received their Christmas distributions this week. An excited crowd gathered for presentations and the Christmas gospel. Children were also able to display some of the Bible verses they memorized and sing some Christmas carols and other Psalms. An exciting day for everyone because they were served rice with chicken and vegetables.

The children are super excited for their special meal of rice, chicken and vegetables!

A special thank you from the cooking mother. They also enjoy cooking something different then the usual Nsima.

And when the children left to go home with their families they were all gifted their Christmas hamper which consisted of a bucket, cup, plate, utensils, and food items. This comes just as they enter their most difficult months of the year in regards to food supply. A wonderful day for all….
